The T37 RC Racing Sloop is a beautiful fast sailing boat and the ideal size for a radio control sailboat for most RC sailors. This rc sailboat is big enough that she handles heavy weather and open water with ease and yet she is light enough at just under 5 pounds that she can be carried and transported easily. The 1/8 inch plywood hull is extremely strong and yet very light. The mast comes out in just a few seconds for easy transport. Building the T37 is a project at which anyone can be successful. There is currently a seventh grade class building ten of the T37 RC sailboats and my daughter built her T37 when she was nine. The wood hull is constructed of precut 1/8 inch mahogany plywood pieces that go together very easily with a marine epoxy that is not only incredibly strong but also remarkably easy to use. Most of the builders are adults or the building is a joint project shared between an adult and a youngster as a team. This is an ideal project for anyone who has always dreamed of building a boat but has never had the time. There have been over 600 of the T37's built.
